CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
•Kripalu Yoga: The Kripalu approach for a compassionate, open-hearted yoga practice to benefit mind, body, spirit. Focus on technique of alignment and engagement in a broad variety of asana (postures). Each class includes pranayama (breath), asana, meditation/centering and relaxation. All levels & beginners welcome, led by Erinn or Lois.
•Gentle Yoga: The Kripalu approach to gently paced foundational pranayama (breath technique) and asana (postures). Learn the yoga basics or receive the relaxing benefits of a gentle practice. Great for beginners, a restorative practice, or pre-natal (for pregnant students w/modifications) All levels, with Erinn.
•Women's Hatha Yoga: A yoga practice customized for women, postures for balance & energy, strength & flexibility. A spiritually enriching approach led by Marilee. Gentle to moderate pace and degree of challenge; experience required. Pre-Registration required.
•Morning Moderate: Posture flow led in the Kripalu tradition to awaken and enliven body, mind & energy...arise & shine! Led by Erinn, all levels, prior yoga experience suggested.
•Moderate Yoga: pranayama (breath) and asana (postures) of moderate levels led through moderate paced sequence and flow. All levels, prior yoga experience suggested. With Erinn or Elizabeth.
•Vinyasa: Posture flow of complexity in asana with swift movement. Innovative fluid sequencing, endurance holds, hand/arm balances for depth of practice. Our most advanced or challenging class. Led by Erinn or Elizabeth, previous yoga experience required.
•Meditation: join in sacred community for meditation drawn from various traditions and practices. All levels, led by Marilee.
•Therapeutic Relax & Stretch: Release tension in the body & stress in the mind. Guided relaxation with gentle stretches. A great alternative to yoga and physically therapeutic. Led by Dori.
•Power Pilates: On the mat. Strength. Vigor. Control. Energy. These are the benefits of a consistent Pilates practice. Pilates is a whole body exercise to strengthen and lengthen muscles for condition & tone. Diverse, challenging and exciting! Led by Sara.
•Power Pilates Level 1: offers basic technique for first timers looking to build core strength or recover from injury.
•Pilates on the Ball: Incorporates toning & stability ball props. Builds core stabilization by recruiting abdominal and back muscles to create a girdle of strength in the mid-section. Balls also add an element of strength building through weight. Improve balance, deepen core strength, advance muscle tone.
